Is aimed at productive moderately sized, easy calving, adapted high producing females of good natures.  These in turn produce bulls mainly 50 Angus, 25 Gelbvieh, 25 Brahman.  As well a variation of each breed type content from 25 – 75% occurs.  We do not want to create another breed so the composite is not closed.  This “open” policy allows introduction of each breed type based on excellence and satisfies buyer demands for a range of breed content.    Selection is based on performance which reflects fertility, health, adaptability, constitution, growth and easy to handle nature.  Artificial insemination, straight bred and composite sires are used.  Heifers are joined at 12 – 15 months or 21 – 24 months.  All females must calve annually and rear calves to 7 months of age to at least 50% of their bodyweight at weaning.  Cows not performing as required are sold to slaughter.  Heifers and cows – not culls –  in excess of our requirements are eagerly sought but rarely available for sale.
